SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION (Confessions): Saturdays 

at 8:30 am, or during the week M-F by appointment by calling the 

Parish Office. 

PARISH BAPTISM POLICY: Parents and godparents are asked to 

participate in one pre-baptismal catechesis offered on the third 

Thursday of each month, at 6:30PM in the St. Clare classroom. 

Parents are kindly requested to make arrangements for the date of 

baptism one month prior with Nancy at the parish office. The next 

Pre-Baptism Catechesis will be Thurs., February 19th at 6:30 PM. 

PARISH MARRIAGE POLICY: In conformity with diocesan 

policy, couples are asked to make arrangements with the priest at least 

six months in anticipation of a wedding date. Do not set a date before 

you consult with a priest. Nuptial Masses are celebrated at St. Francis 

of Assisi Catholic Church. Pre Cana course is offered every six 

months. Our next Pre Cana date is Saturday, May 9, 2009 and will 

be here at our Parish Center. 

SACRAMENT OF ANOINTING OF THE SICK 

Call the Parish Office at any time if you or a family member seeks the 

sacrament.

Prayer List 

Do you have a seriously ill family 

member or friend? We are starting a 

prayer list to be published in the 

weekly bulletin inviting parishioners 

to pray for the names in the list. If you 

have the sick person’s permission, you 

may request that their name be 

printed in the bulletin list for prayers. Names 

will be deleted after a period of one month. Call 

the parish office (914-2175) and speak with the 

receptionist to leave the name of the family 

member who is in need of prayer. We will begin 

publishing a list of names in next week’s 

bulletin. 

Celebrate the Goodness of Jesus at Easter! 

Start or rekindle a family tradition with a Butter 

Lamb or a Bread Lamb for Easter. The Ladies 

Auxiliary will again be taking pre-paid orders for 

Butter Lambs or Lamb Breads for Easter. 

Orders taken after all Masses on Ash Wednesday, 

Feb. 25, and after all Masses on Saturday and 

Sunday, Feb. 28-29. Make checks payable to the 

Ladies Auxiliary.

OPERATION RICE 

BOWL 

As part of our faith community’s Lenten 

observance, we will participate in Catholic 

Relief Services’ Lenten Program, Operation 

Rice Bowl. Since 1975, Operation Rice 

Bowl has inspired Catholics in the United 

States to pray, fast, learn, and give as we 

increase our understanding of our global 

community. We will connect this 

understanding with the principles of 

Catholic Social Teaching throughout our 

Lenten journey. We encourage your to 

participate in Operation Rice Bowl at home 

with your families and loved ones. 

Pick up your orders before and after Holy 

Thursday and Good Friday services at the church 

kitchen window off the patio.

St. Clare of Assisi Women’s Guild 

Our purpose is to embrace, support, and encourage 

the women of our Parish through spiritual 

development, fundraising, and fellowship. Open to 

all women of the parish. 

Our next meeting is March 10th at 6:30pm. 

St. Francis Rosary Makers 

Rosary Makers provide handmade rosaries to 

missionaries. Our next meeting is Feb. 17th 

at 9:30 am. 

Knights of Columbus 

We are a service organization of Catholic men and their families 

founded on the principles of Charity, Unity, 

Fraternity and Patriotism. We provide 

volunteer opportunities in service to the 

Catholic Church, the community, families, and 

young people. For membership info. please

K of C meets the first Tuesday of each month

Ladies Auxillary of Knights of Columbus 

Open to the wives, widows, and daughters of the Knights,

Holy Name Society 

We promote honor and glory to the Holy Name of 

God/of Jesus Christ and sanctification of its 

members. Open to all parishioners. 

Monthly Mass & Corporate Communion is the 

2nd Saturday of the Month, 5:30 PM. Parish Rosary at 5 PM. 

Our Mother of Perpetual Help Novena will be every Wed. at 

8:35am after Mass in the Our Lady of the Angels room. 

San Lorenzo Ruiz Guild 

We foster knowledge of and devotion to San Lorenzo 

Ruiz, serve the parish in various ministries and fund 

raising, and keep alive relevant Philippine religious 

customs and traditions. Monthly meeting: 

Last Thursday of the month, 5:30pm 

Hospitality — Coffee, Hot Chocolate, 

Water and Doughnuts are served by our 

hospitality volunteers each Sunday.
