Liskeard

Liskeard was described as a town in the manumission of a slave around 1000, although it wasn’t given this status in Domesday Book (1086). Nonetheless, by 1201 it had borough rights and its own courts. It was made a coinage town in 1307 and was reputedly Cornwall’s second richest medieval town.
