Newquay was originally a fishing port of Towan Bilstra before the new quay was built in the fifteenth century. Among other things the quay was used for the import and export of mined ore and coal and for many years the main industry was fishing for pilchards and salting. Although pilchard fishing died out years ago this fishing town still has a working harbour, although it’s hard against the big swells of the Atlantic, they still manage to get out when the weather is good.
Cadgwith Cove Beach is small cornish village built on fishing dating way back. The Cove is full of thatched cottages lined up at the side of the valley and the small fleet of fishing boats winched up on shingle beach. The beach is still at the centre of the village with pots at the front of the boat houses.
Bude natural pool is located in North Cornwall situated in Bude town. This popular seaside town attracts many of Cornwalls visitors being one of the most loved towns in Cornwall.
