The Credit Union is a local, not for profit financial institution. Established in December 1982 by a group of local people and registering as an Industrial and Provident Society Company number NO000033.
The original founder members struggled against a backdrop of social deprivation and unemployment to build a solid foundation that would last.
The mission at Ederney Credit Union remains to provide the highest level of personal financial services in a friendly and professional manner.
The credit union strives to give the members the ability to manage and control their financial wellbeing and provide sound financial management in order to maintain earnings for the continued growth of the credit union.
From those humble beginnings the credit union has grown and includes operating a School Saver Club in local primary schools which has proved to be a very successful way of encouraging children to save.
The world of the Credit Union is ever changing and this Credit Union will be at the forefront of these changes.
