United Colors of Fashion Gala in New York City

Shannon Truax and Saunak Shah

Lucky Duck walks the red carpet at the New York City Gala.

Saunak Shah, of Saunak Shah Photography, can rock a tux. Aside from the hunky James Bond thing he has going on, he’s an incredible artist who I like and respect very much. He’s at the top of the creative world in NYC, is currently the featured photographer on Land Rover USA’s Tumblr blog (while yours truly is the driver), and is the Director of Marketing who put on the United Colors of Fashion gala in New York this week. Saunak did it along with the Branding for UCOF with the help of his awesome Marketing Team. To check out more of his work, visit www.saunakshah.com.

Before the doors open

The boys choir was impressive as we all waited to get inside. They reminded me of the Charlie Brown Christmas special…

The gala started with some very special guests. Let me start with this line of beautiful supermodels.

Pat Cleveland, who stands with the mic center stage in a tangerine orange floor length gown, received a lifetime achievement award.

Fern Mallis, creator of New York City Fashion Week, helped MC the event.

From my vantage point

Row two, at the top of the runway, next to all of the photographers was awesome!

It was such a treat to see the gorgeous Carmen Marc Valvo collection. My sister actually wore Carmen Marc Valvo in my wedding.
