Battle Realms Tips

Jim Norris: Hi, i wanna start posting some guides and tips for new and old players. Maybe i’ll make some video compilation soon.

For now, i’ll start with dragon clan units.

Tips 01: Did you know the Kabuki Warrior’s passive ability “Entertainer” allows nearby peasants to move faster.

  • Mohammad Gagat Tejo Baskoro: The chemist also have passive abilities, they spreading some herbs to tripe the allies regeneration around them. Very useful to healing allies. All units have innate abilities.
  • Arbi Pratama Akira: ah i see, thats why the peasant always singing when kabuki do that
  • Mohammad Gagat Tejo Baskoro: The dragon warrior can do ‘inspire’ while attacking, increase near allies attack, same as Otomo does, but passively.
  • Philip Andrew Desuyo: Wolf Clan druidess fastens the growth of rice

Tips 02: Dragon Clan Units. Powder Keg Cannoneer’s Purifying Salt innate ability:

When idle, Powder Keg Cannoneers throws salt on the ground (A sumo wrestling ritual) to purify the area of bad spirits. Any units nearby will receive half damage from the next attack they receive. A spinning shield effect would be visible to affected units. This may come useful before charging into battle.

Tips 03: I find it funny how the Serpent clan chose a tavern as a training structure for peasants to become Swordsmen, as if they engage in bar brawls as part of the peasants’ training to see who is worthy of using the sword.

Overview: A wise Serpent daimyo knows that ferocity and cunning are quickest to grow in the downtrodden and naturally violent. Accordingly, most of their Swordsmen are recruited from the loudest, most arrogant bullies their taverns can offer.

Their experience in chaotic alehouse brawls lends them several talents, including a useful knack for dodging flying objects while running. Peasants who injure noblemen in such brawls are offered the “blade’s choice”: Either take up the sword in the noble’s service, or die by his sword at dawn

Facts 01 – 17 tháng 11 lúc 20:10: Zymeth’s Rainstorm BG doesn’t just increase rice growth in terrains such as grass, swamp, and mountain, but in snow terrains, he can decrease rice growth with a snowstorm.

Facts 0211 tháng 11 lúc 08:04: When Nightvol says “Their time is over”, that means the Horde are attacking both Dragon and Lotus. But if he says “His time is over”, the Horde will fight while being ignored by the Wolf. Strange coincidence, isn’t it?

Facts 0315 tháng 09 lúc 10:53: You now serve the Lotus clan. As a student of the Forbidden Path, you will only serve one dead brother who tends the Tree of Corruption. Which one are you?

  • Blade Acolyte – as a student of Lythis, you will be taught the skills of the blade that alludes to the roots of the tree. If you ‘meditate’ by sharpening your blades, your blades will slice your foes open. In addition, Lythis will help you channel your inner strength to regenerate your decaying body.
  • Staff Adept – as a student of Tausil, you are given the wisdom of the trunk, as in weilding a heavy iron staff designed to smash your enemies with so much force. Also, Tausil can give you the power to protect your allies in battle against anything thrown at you with a Dark Canopy.
  • Leaf Disciple – as a student of Sehk, you are granted the knowledge of the leaf. The leaves of the tree will fly around you, but with your hands, you can fling them to your enemies until the last one cuts them to death. Sehk will also help you with your vision, by sending leaves flying all over to see the battlefield around you.

Facts 0424 tháng 10 lúc 05:39: The Wolf Sledger was originally going to be a Zen Master for the Dragon Clan under the name ‘Jishin‘.

Facts 0508 tháng 12 lúc 16:31: Until now I’m still clueless as to why the wolf clan AI would put a Pack Master on the watchtower.

Trivia: The Pack Master belies his appearance; he actually has one of the weakest melee attacks in the game. In fact, if you are to look up at the Battle Realms Data Editor, his melee attack is the same as the Dragon’s Geisha: a blunt “Geisha Punch”.

The Pack Master has a hidden semi-missile (listed as missile, but has a very short range) weapon – Wolf Bite, a piercing melee weapon shared with Pack Wolves:

  • Wolf Bite is used if the enemy he’s engaging in combat is running away or attacking another unit (thus ignoring combat with the packmaster).
  • The dev team might’ve originally intended it to be a test-weapon to address the ignore-combat issue when units can build/shoot/attack while ignoring melee attackers. But it was only given to PackMaster in the end, either accidentally or intentionally.
  • Because of the Pack Master’s attack angle, Wolf Bite may kill riders while leaving horses untouched.
  • Because the Pack Master has a missile weapon, AI will sometimes put one on Watchtower.
