Here’s How To Get A Free Chippy Tea On Fridays This August

I won’t lie. There’s nowt we love more than a chippy tea on a Friday. Tucking into that golden batter and those chunky chips is one of the few joys in life – and even better when you’re not the one paying.

Giving back to Brits in a big way as the cost of living crisis continues, Sarson’s – the company behind that vinegar – is giving away hundreds of free chippy tea’s each Friday this month, as part of a new scheme that will run throughout August.

Designed to help fish and chip shops across the country as both fish and potato prices rise, Sarson’s has announced that it will reimburse hundreds of lucky Brits scranning on chippy teas for the rest of the summer, right up until September 2nd.

To claim the offer, all people need to do is pick up a chippy tea and snap a photo on Twitter or Instagram, tagging #SarsonsFryday. From there, the team will pick out hundreds of lucky winners, who’ll have their orders reimbursed. Pretty sweet, huh?

There’s no limitations on which fish and chip shops you can purchase at, simply purchase at your favourite one to help support our local chippies throughout the summer. All that Sarson’s asks is that you pop a bottle of their famous vinegar in the shot with your chippy – even if it’s the one at the counter at the chip shop. Easy peasy. Don’t forget to keep your receipt!

Bryan Carroll, Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Sarson’s said: “The rising cost of living means we’re naturally all looking for ways to cut down our expenses, and sadly, one of the first thing that consumers cut back on is meals out and takeaways, leaving many of our favourite chippies at risk.

“As we enjoy the warmer weather, we wanted to help the nation support their local so we’re making everyone’s favourite day of the week even better with #SarsonsFryday. Whether it’s a staycation with friends, seaside visit with the whole family or a quiet Friday night in, we want to make sure Brits can get their fish and chip fix – so this summer, it’s on us!”
