Motorola’s Superbowl commercial starring Megan Fox sent a stir through the blogosphere.

Some bloggers suggested that the actress used a “thumb double” to cover up her abnormally short thumbs, a hereditary condition known as brachydatyly.

The commercial features the “Transformers” star nude in a bubble bath.

After the commercial aired, meticulous bloggers noted that Motorola used a hand double for the 23-year-old’s closeups, according to London’s Daily Mail.

“Did anyone else catch this?” wrote a blogger for Celebrity Smack. “I couldn’t help but chuckle when they showed a close-up of the Motorola phone and the hands holding it were definitely not Megan Fox’s.”

“Literally, what it means is short finger,” Dr. Steven Bendner, a hand surgeon at Beth Israel Medical Center, told the New York Daily News. “The nail of the thumb in this condition is often very short and wide.

“It is usually hereditary. Although it could also have been caused by frostbite, or it could have been an injury to the growth plate in childhood.”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have issued a legal statement asserting that they are not about to split.

The couple’s lawyer, Keith Schilling, said Monday that the pair has filed suit against Britain’s News of the World for making “false allegations about their relationship” – and said that the reports are not true.

“We can confirm unequivocally … that the allegations published by the News of the World are false as well as intrusive,” said Schilling in a statement.

The U.K. paper had reported that Jolie, 34, and Pitt, 46, had met with a divorce lawyer and were headed for a split.

According to Schilling, Sorrell Trope, who was identified in some media reports as the lawyer representing the couple, submitted a statement saying, “I have had no contact from them … Angelina Jolie and/or Brad Pitt. I have never met your … clients or had any involvement with either of them.”

On Sunday, Pitt and Jolie appeared happy and affectionate in an appearance with son Maddox at the Super Bowl.

Former Miss California Carrie Prejean became engaged to St. Louis Rams quarterback Kyle Boller on Saturday, E! News reports.

The couple reportedly said “I will” after a year and a half-long romance. She agreed to his offer in San Diego — Prejean’s hometown and the city where Boller, 28, spends the off-season.

Prejean, 22, became embroiled in controversy after speaking out against same-sex marriage during the 2009 Miss USA pageant.

Prejean was runner-up in the 2009 Miss USA pageant, but was eventually dethroned of her Miss California title for an alleged breach of contract. In November, her lawsuit against pageant officials was dropped soon after photos and a raunchy sex tape of Prejean surfaced.
