Journey Overview

Beauty and culture entwine perfectly on this fantastic journey. From Fife’s southern coast through to the delightful Eden Valley, onto the banks of the Tay before a gripping climax in Dundee, the UK’s most emerging cultural hotspot and shopping paradise.

The bus makes its way past the spell-binding MacDuff’s Castle in East Wemyss, before respite and tranquillity at Leven, with its idyllic beach and Silverburn Park. It’s soon through Ceres, home to one of Scotland’s rare village greens, the Fife Folk Museum and the Ceres Games, held annually since 1315. Before long, the double-decker bus with its eyebrow raising views, nestles in Cupar and the River Eden and Haugh Park, then it’s off to Tayport with yet more views, this time across the sometimes moody but often calm, Tay to Dundee and Broughty Ferry and of Tentsmuir Forest.

This is a route with splendid walks, gorgeous coastal paths, fashion and shops – little wonder that last year, it was so popular with dogs when bus operator Stagecoach held its ‘Paws at the Palace’ day, offering cut-price deals for four-legged creatures out on their daily walks!
