 Trans girl and trans women – Male to Female
 Trans guy, trans boy and trans man – Female to

 Refrain from overly personal questions.

avoid pronouns.
 If necessary, refer to them as they present or
politely ask, “How would you like to be

Problems faced
 Transgender are likely to live in
poverty.
 They experience unemployment
twice that of the general
population.
 They experience harassment,
mistreatment or discrimination

reported of harassment by police.
 Some of them attempted suicide.
 Transgender people still can’t serve in military.
 Transgender have no access to toilets.

for transgender.
