The first picture shows the Swamp Titi in early July 2021. The second picture shows the Swamp Titi in early July 2020. It did very badly in 2022, and was dead in the spring of 2023 so I cut it down.
Swamp Titi leaf detail.
I purchased this 15 gallon native tree in January 2018 from Buchanan's Native Plants. This is a much smaller tree than I usually buy, typically growing only to 10-15 feet tall and often shrub-like. It's an exception compared to the others in my collection which typically grow to reasonable sized trees.
On May 20th this tree started to produce white flowers.
This tree was declining every year, and in 2022, the most devastating year yet for many of my trees, this tree died.

This tree did not do too well in 2019, barely growing and not showing much vigor. Looks even worse in 2020.
