You are invited to join us for this season’s final Chathill Monitor Farm meeting.

Welcome to the final instalment of the Chathill Monitor Farm winter meetings for 2023/24.

For this meeting, we are tackling grassweeds. Grassweeds are probably the main agronomic threat to cereal production in the UK.

With herbicide efficacy and availability faltering, growers are being driven to use non-chemical control methods, in combination with herbicides, to create long-term sustainable weed control programmes.

At this meeting we will look at integrated weed management for problematic grass weeds such as Bromes and Ryegrasses.

Join Will Smith (UK & Ireland Technical Manager at Gowan Crop Protection Ltd) for the final Chathill Monitor Farm meeting, where we will cover:

  • Pip & Agronomist: Chathill Monitor Farm’s Integrated Weed Management Strategy
  • The current status of resistant grassweeds in the UK
  • Understanding the lifecycle and biology of problematic grassweeds
  • Non-chemical control methods
  • Best use of herbicides for efficacy and resistance management
  • Building an integrated weed management plan
  • Farmer case study

Registration and refreshments will be available from 10:30am with presentations commencing at 11:00am and lunch will be provided.

BASIS and NRoSO points will be available for attending.

The event is free to attend, but please register to allow us to cater accordingly.
