Shrub 1-3m. Leaves elliptic-oblanceolate 12-15x3.5-7cm, acuminate, base cuneate or attenuate, margin serrate, sparsely pubescent on both surfaces; petioles 1-3.5cm. Calyx including acute lobes 3-4mm. Petals elliptic 5-6x1.5-2.5mm, pale blue, becoming reflexed. Stamens 5-6mm purplish. Styles 3-5, 3mm, thickened at apex. Berries subglobose 6-8mm diameter, intense metallic blue
