The fruitbody may be disk-like (and then with a raised rim) or resemble a shallow cup. There may be a very short pseudo-stem and the rubbery fruitbodies may grow to 2 centimetres or a little more in diameter.
The upper surface is smooth and yellowish brown/khaki or yellow green/olive. The lower surface is more brownish and has tiny pustules or warts (at least near the margin).
Fruitbodies are found on soil.
Look-alikes
When fresh and showing the khaki/greenish/olive tints this species should be distinctive. An aged or partially dried specimen may be less distinctive.
