Cormous geophyte, 25--40 cm. Leaves sword-shaped. Flowers long-tubed, cream with red streaks, bracts large, rust-coloured above and attenuate. Mainly Oct.--Nov. Rocky sandstone and shale slopes in renosterveld or fynbos, SW, KM, LB (Villiersdorp to Albertina).
