Eiddew / Iorwg

A vigorous climbing plant found in woodland, hedges, walls and cliffs. It produces masses of globe type flowers during the autumn which are a magnet for insects. These produce black berries that provide winter food for birds.

The lush green foliage of this plant is perfect for providing ground cover, or for concealing unattractive walls or fences.

Ivy nectar and pollen is an essential source of food for insects in the autumn, when there is little else available. It is also the foodplant of the Holly Blue butterfly.

Height: 800cm

Flowers: September to November

Colour: Yellowy/Green
