Description: Uses: Usos: melĂ­fera (nectar y polen) (Arellano et al. 2003:447-8). Miscellaneous products, medicine, food (Balick et al. 2000:97). Common names: Blossom berry (voucher). Blossom berry, cacho de vanado, chi-lun-che, chrimis-embra, granada cimarrona, indio desnudo, vaina de espada, walk naked (Balick et al. 2000:97). Image Notes: Fruit: 0.5-0.7 cm spheroid fleshy drupe terminates in point at apex. Epidermis punctate, red and leathery when desiccated. Slight bulging of endocarp at equator. Persistent peduncle 0.5 cm. Fruit: Spherical, minutely punctate leathery surface, distinct scar at peduncle insertion, papery round phalange at polar aperture, distinct ridge around aperture, 4.0 mm diameter.
