Cubicle brown rot - the work of fungi breaking down the cellulose in dead wood, resulting in these beautiful cubicle fractures
’Ello!
Welcome to the detritus of my brain: mushrooms, tripping in search of mushrooms, getting attacked by fauna in pursuit of mushrooms, cooking mushrooms, the thrills of the necrobiome, and whatever else I’m lucky enough to find while looking down… because I spend a lot of time wandering about and staring at dirt like a tall hobbit with scoliosis.
I’m new to the mysteries of mycology, so take all of my identifications with a pound of salt.
I tag species names, and also:
- #eye on the forest floor (photos of mushrooms and other interesting forest things in the wild)
- #cooking the forest floor
- #eating the forest floor
- #drawing the forest floor /#painting the forest floor
- #studying the forest floor (mycological notes, spore printing, etc
- #Cemetery Sunday (shots of cemeteries, sometimes with bonus fungi!)
- Death
- #CW alcohol
Fair warning… I pun sporadically.
