In an interview with New Kids on the Block on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, Cohen asked why Wahlberg's other bandmates (save for Jordan Knight, who made an uncredited appearance as "Man in Police Station" on a 2011 episode of the hit CBS drama) have't been on Blue Bloods. "Listen, I've been trying," Wahlberg said. "It's a no brainer for Joey to do it, and I'm sure he'd be willing if there was a good part, but it just hasn't been the right thing." Santiago Felipe/Getty Wahlberg went on to explain how his executive producer asked if there was "a bucket list item" he wanted for Blue Blood's last year. "I said, 'Yes. Get freaking Joey on the show because you told me you were gonna get him on the show a decade ago and we're still waiting.' So we'll see," Wahlberg recalled, adding, "It's a bucket list for me on the show for sure." For his part, McIntyre seems interested — but with a few caveats. "I don't know. If he has to take my face and put it up against a car window or something like that.... You know what I mean? We gotta have some soft boundaries around the role," McIntyre said. In response, Wahlberg suggested that McIntyre could be "a love interest to my partner and I get jealous or whatever." Donnie Wahlberg on 'Blue Bloods'. Photographer Name/CBS via Getty Blue Bloods premiered on CBS in September 2010 and has been that rarity of modern television: a hit broadcast show, pulling in an average of about 10 million viewers every season. Following a multi-generational family of New York City cops, the show starred Tom Selleck as patriarch and police commissioner Frank Reagan, with Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, and Andrew Terraciano as his children. The final season will be split into two parts. The first part premiered in February, and the second will launch in the fall. Wahlberg, however, seemed to intimate that Blue Bloods could continue. "There are rumblings, so we'll see what happens," Wahlberg teased. "It’s beloved." Knight then joked, "It's gonna be a Donnie spinoff."
