CONSERVATION STATUS:
- Threatened.
CULTIVATION:
- Full sun.
- Does well with regular watering.
- Frost tolerant.
PROPAGATION:
- Readily propagated from seed and suckers.
NATURAL HABITAT:
- Mpumalanga Province on rocky ledges and open grassveld in the Bronkhorstspruit, Witbank and Middelburg districts.
STEM:
- Aerial, erect but long stems sometimes recline.
- Stems can attain a length of 3 meters with a diameter of 25 cm – 40 cm.
- The stem apex has lightly packed woolly whitish cataphylls.
