SUMMARY
Conidial morph Acremonium-like.
Stroma not present. Ascomata (100–) 120–160 (–170) μm diam. and (120–) 140–170 (–180) μm high, solitary or crowded in groups of 2–8, superficial, seated on an inconspicuous mycelial mat; subglobose to doliiform, glabrous, pale yellow to orange, not collapsing when dry, not changing colour in KOH or lactic acid. Ostiolar disc 140–180 μm diam., flat, with a minute, acute papilla. Peridium composed of angular thin-walled cells, covered by thick-walled hyphae 2–3 μm diam. with rounded to narrowly clavate
tips, agglutinating to form the ostiolar disc. Interascal tissue not seen. Asci 41-48 x 6.5-7.5 µm, clavate, thin-walled, the apex rounded, without an apical ring. Ascospores arranged biseriately, (12.5-) 14-18.5 x (3.5-) 4-4.5 (-5) μm, narrowly fusiform with obtuse ends, slightly constricted at the ± median septum, hyaline, thin-walled, minutely verrucose to spinulose, without a gelatinous sheath.
