Lawrence Fishburne Loves Marvel's Movies and He Will Return as Bill Foster in WHAT IF...? Season 2

Marvel Studios has a tendency to go after big legendary stars to appear in their films. Over the years some of those actors have included Michael Douglas, Kurt Russell, Robert Redford, Samuel L. Jackson, Michelle Pfieffer, Anthony Hopkins, Ben Kingsley, Jeff Bridges, Tommy Lee Jones, Glenn Close, Forrest Whittaker, Angela Bassett, Michael Keaton, Jeff Goldblum, Harrison Ford, William Hurt and more.

Lawrence Fishburne also had a role in Ant-Man as Bill Foster, Hank Pym's former Shield colleague and Ava Starr's caretaker. During a recent interview with CB, he talks about how much he loves the MCU and how he would love to be in it, saying:

"You know, I'm a big MCU guy man. I love the Marvel Cinematic Universe and as much I would love to be in it, I'm happy being a fan and be waiting for whatever's coming. Yeah, man like I just heard in Atlanta, I heard they're getting ready to do another Captain America!… Bring it. I'm buying tickets dude!"

When he says, “I would love to be in it,” I assume he means he would love to continue being a part of it. Not only did he appear in Ant-Man, but he’s also actively a part of the animated series Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. Also, he will be reprising his role as Bill Foster again in the upcoming second season of What If…?.

Fishburne has confirmed in an interview with Brandon Pope that he will voice Bill Foster in an upcoming episode of What If...?, and these are the comments he made:

"Ah, you know, Bill Foster shows up in What If…? Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Bill Foster shows up in What If…? as Giant-Man actually. Yeah, it's cool."

That is cool and it’ll be fun to see this character back in a new MCU story. Fishburne’s latest film is John Wick: Chapter 4, and he is back in the role of The Bowery King. He’s great in the film, and when talking about playing the character again, he said:

"It was pretty easy, man. It was on the page. That whole opening thing with the speech about, 'I was here before the beginning of time!' The way he gets to set the table, and it allows me to use my voice in a really beautiful way in the tunnel with all the reverberation. The way Chad [Stahelski] shot it, it was really mysterious and cool."

He added: "I love this movie because it's so much fun. Just playing The Bowery King, I get to have so much fun doing it.”
