Love this pot, a cape sundew (sticky leaves) - carnivorous plants with a little added style šŸ‡ #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #happyplants #greggang #carnivorousplants

Best pot to replant

So, I have tried multiple times and I keep getting different answers so you guys think that #Stella my plant is a #ForkedSundew if not, what do you guys think it is? Also check out the #profile and make sure you #Follow #Happyplantsmakehappypeople #happyplantshappylife

Fungus Gnat Muncher!šŸ¦ŸšŸ“ Just some photos of the sticky leaves of a Cape Sundew with some gnats caught, the plant can even curl its leaf to help it hold and digest the bugs. They make great additions to have around your other indoor plants which is why I bought them in the first place when I had a fungus gnat infestation. They help keep the numbers down. The only catch is they need the same conditions as other carnivorous plants, low mineral water and soil. A great carnivorous plant for any beginner! #carnivorousplants #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict

Tiny Carnies Fresh and Fun! Here's a few photos of different baby carnivorous plants (CPs). The little one that looks like a fan is a "forked" sundew, there's a few photos of tiny sundews (pygmy), a very small nepenthes pitcher from a recent clearance rescue (a new pitcher is good sign, he is behind a larger nepenthes leaf) and finally what looks like a moss forest but is actually a small venus fly trap (in the middle). I may have to move him as he is a bit crowded these days. Amazing how the little plants already display their adult form...only tiny šŸ”Ž #freshleaffriday #freshfeaturedfriday #newgrowth #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #plantmafia #greggang

Ok but how cute is Winston? #CapeSundew #CarnivorousPlants #sundaycheckin

Nepenthes vs Venus Fly Traps/Sundews...Oh so different! #cpclubthursday Hi CP Club Members We had a great response to this week's Club Thursday so thanks for the contributions and new club members who joined. A club member raised a great question I want to answer here. What's the difference in the growing conditions and requirements of Nepenthes pitcher plants (N) compared to Venus Fly Traps (VFTs), Sarracenia Pitcher Plants and Sundews (bog plants) As I hinted above, bog plants grow in areas like North Carolina in the USA where there is lots of sun in summer and constant wet conditions, growing close to the ground. Ns are tropical plants from places like South East Asia (eg Borneo/Philippines) so similar conditions to orchids. They also grow on trees like orchids in mountainous areas, not on the ground. So the more you understand these differences, the better you can adapt your conditions to suit their needs! Happy to answer any more questions below. Attached are some more guides (note from different countries so you may need to convert measurements, etc) https:// https:// https:// https:// https:// https:// #cpclubthursday #carnivorousplants #carnivorousclub #venusflytrap #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy

Happy #cpclubthursday ! Today I am sharing my first attempt at constructing a Carnivorous Plant terrarium. I began with a layer of pebbles and charcoal, followed by sand, then a peat/perlite mix, into which I planted my tiny CPs. I included a Cape Sundew and a Spoon-Leaved Sundew as my plants, along with a few decorative rocks. Iā€™m really pleased with my first attempt!!! #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #PlantLove #CapeSundew #SpoonLeavedSundew #Terrarium #Terrariumtribe #cpclubthursday #Seymour #CarnivorousPlants #CarnivorousClub

Meet Octavia, my new Cape Sundew! ā˜€ļø She is hanging out in a tray of rainwater with Deathstalker the VFT, soaking up the sun's rays. #capesundew #sundew #carnivorousplants #cpclubthursday #carnivorousclub

Happy #cpclubthursday fellow carnivore lovers! It's super rainy here today. I let my #capesundew Octavia get a little sun during a break in the rain. I have been tucking her under a shelf on my porch so she still gets a little sun but also doesn't get too drenched. I have been doing this with my bog as well-- I'm a bit worried about over watering my new carnivorous plants, especially as they get used to their new environment! I have been pouring out excess water from the bog because there is no drainage hole. I hope they do okay. Is there anything else I should be doing with all this rain? I want to keep them outside but it's been crazy rainy in Missouri. And I have another question about cape sundew. Should I feed her? Or is it wise to let her settle in first? I just got her three days ago. #carnivorousplants #sundew #boggarden #theamigos
