Help? Just got this bad boy. Any advice? Do I need to fill the pitchers? Can I feed it? Do I feed it? Do the lids close? Lol. It’s listed as a “Rebecca”.

A NEW FLOWER FORMING! Because CP Club Thursday 🪰 #cpclubthursday & 🍃🌱 Fresh Leaf Friday are coming up, I thought why not combine the two in one post?➗️❓️ So here are my Fresh Leaf Friday and CP Club Thursday contestants🥇🥈🥉🤼♂️🏋♂️⛹️♀️🏄♂️🤺 I am excited to have good news 😀 (and maybe a little bad news🫣) The good news is one of my Nepenthes is actually flowering!!!! 👌 🌱⚘️🌿💐 This is amazing as I have only had the plant for 6 months and they are very demanding before flowering (eg very high humidity sometimes 80-90%) 🔥 🥵 And the bad news is I only currently have ONE Nepenthes flowering.⚘️ Nepenthes are dioecious, so they come in male or female plants, making self-pollination impossible!🚫⚠️❌️ And I don't yet know if it is a little girl flower 👧or boy flower 👦 so.... I need to start a dating service! 👩❤️💋👨👩❤️👨💋🥰🫶👩❤️👨 Most Nepenthes are male (typical!) about 4 to 1! So I need to find a lovely mate in time 🤔 👀👀⌛️😍🥰💘🫂👫🌱🌱🪷🌸before it's too late⌛️😣😩😥 And a photo of a little pitcher plant growing that looks like an ostrich or bird head to me 🦩🪿🦤 and another that is twisting towards the light like a circus contortionist 🎪 For more, join #cpclubthursday #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #freshleaffriday #freshfeaturedfriday #cpclubthursday #greggang #happyplants #carnivorousplants #carnivorousclub #venusflytrap #pitcherplant #purplepitcherplant #sundew #butterwort #newgrowth #propagationstation #propagation #sarracenia

🐊 Crikey! Say Hello to My Little Friend - PART 2 -TDS Meter Isn't She a Beauty, Mate 🐊! Hi Plant Friends and CP Fans, This is a continuation from Part 1 (What is a TDS meter) see; https://) So I will share my tipsy Tuesday tip #tipsytuesday) 🍺 🍻 using a TDS meter with a new Carnivorous Plant (CP) as an example: 1. Having bought a CP, the first thing I do is a "radiation ☢️ rinse shower 🚿"). I place the pot in a small water container and pour distilled water onto the soil. 2. I then test the water with a TDS for mineral content (eg 350 ppm - parts per million of total dissolved solids {TDS} and eg pH (as CPs prefer a more acidic soil mix). 3. I keep flushing distilled water (0ppm) until the TDD reads 50 ppm or less (a CP soil mix prefers no minerals or as low as possible) 4. I also use this technique for any soil mix I use that I usually find has a high mineral content so I get eg peet moss or sphagnum moss also below 50ppm) before potting. 5. If I know the soil mix is not acidic enough I will give my CP a drink of cold coffee to make it more acidic. And that's it! Go to Part 1 to add your TDS meter tips . Best tip is awarded best answer. Here it is just noted below. I also record the TDS meter measurements (eg via Bluetooth) to phone app) HOT TIP: Zero Water jugs are great for 0ppm water for CPs and come with a TDS meter! Two for the price of one! An Amazon link for an example is below: ZeroWater 12-Cup Ready-Pour 5-Stage Water Filter Pitcher 0 TDS for Improved Tap Water Taste - IAPMO Certified to Reduce Lead, Chromium, and PFOA/PFOS, 25 Liter, Blue https:// @snowtrooper #tipsytuesday #cpclubthursday #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #plantmafia #greggang #greggerssupportinggreggers #happyplants #newgrowth

Nepenthes possibly stressed? I received this guy in the mail a couple weeks ago and everything looked normal. I acclimated it to the dryer air here over a 4 day period. Now it is out in the open and I think it might be drying up. I have been boiling water occasionally to add humidity to the air as well. The completely dried up pitcher in the back came pretty dry already. The pitcher on the right was deformed. The pitcher on the left looked really good. Now the good pitcher seems to feel more flimsy. Not sure of this is a natural process similar to venus fly trap traps dying after some time. Any info/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! #Nepenthes #CarnivorousPlants #PitcherPlant
