Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Schismatoglottis calyptrata in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Schismatoglottis calyptrata
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Schismatoglottis calyptrata after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Brown rust? Scales or something else? My S.Wallichii has been struggling for sometine now..l had to cut of some leaves which turned yellow. At first I thought they were just old leaves until even the babies turned completely yellow and new ones won't open for more than a month from sprouting .. Upon closer inspection I dared opened the bigger closed leaf and found white sticky sap webbing and brownish insects. I sprayed the leaves with Parker neem solution, wiped and picked the insects off and also did neem soil drench. After two days I had to trim the edges of remaining leaves really turning yellow and brown :( Now tried d.e. powder w/c actually worked in reviving my Chinese evergreen which I had thought was dying. Long post but my questions are.. What seems to be the rust on backside of leaves? Also anyone from the Philippines can lead me to where I can buy the duster or something for d.e. I keep reading about online? Thanks in advance

Kiln opening was today, and look what I found inside!! I’m so pleased with how this one turned out! After a couple of auditions, I think it’s going to the #schismatoglottisthailand 🥰 I’m totally doing more of these! #ESylvanusPottery

#GregGeedback Can you add this lovely to plantopedia please?? @TrisBoogie didn't you get one? Could you find it?

Not sure if it’s #Guttation or just condensation from the humidifier 🤔

Watering needed more frequent than suggested. He only made it 3 days before he started drooping and collapsing in on himself. Only been here a week. Should I be concerned about his soil?

I see you in there!! A new little leaf, telling me I haven’t killed you yet 😂🙈🥲

@JCPlantProper is that a flower!? Also….curly keeps getting yellow tips and slightly brown edges!! What might I be doing wrong? (I’m gonna ask you all the questions about my plants that came from your nursery) 😂

I think Hamilton is going to make it after all. I have been posting about My beloved Schismatoglottis Thailand and what I thought was his slow demise. I have coddled and pampered this little guy and with just one leaf left he surprised me with a new one that is unfolding as we speak. #jodisplace @Kiersten @JCPlantProper I owe you a big thanks for your support. I hope this growth continues. He is still in a green house of sorts until he gets much stronger

Killing me softly! This one is giving me a hard time with watering. I understand it’s a thirsty plant but feel that I’m drowning it sometimes. Leaves quickly turn yellow but new growth is also frequent. Any advice on a good balancing act? 😅 #SchismatoglottisWallichii
