Mauritia Flexuosa Fruit Oil is a lipid extracted from the fruit pulp of Moriche palm (Buriti), considered a "Tree of Life" in the rainforest of Central Brazil. The bright yellow pulp contains a colorful red oil rich in Provitamin A (beta-carotene).
Mauritia Flexuosa fruit oil acts as an emollient and free radical scavenger. It is known to have healing properties, suggesting the product's use in both hair and skin-care products, as well as in after-sun and baby-care products, where it helps to soothe irritation.
