Shreyas rushed home, where his wife, Deepti, saw his condition and took him to the hospital. He passed out on the way, while their car was stuck in traffic. Once he regained consciousness, the doctors told him that he was smiling through the angioplasty, and kept asking forgiveness from Deepti for putting her through the trouble.

Shreyas said that calling this experience a wake-up call would be ‘an understatement’, as he was ‘clinically dead’ for several minutes. He urged people to not take their health for granted, and said that regular doctor visits are important. He revealed that he doesn’t smoke, drinks rarely, and follows a healthy diet and lifestyle. And yet, he wasn’t spared. “I’ve heard that post COVID, there have been many cases of healthy young people encountering heart issues,” he said, thanking his friends, family, and most importantly, his ‘superhuman’ wife, Deepti.
