Quick Overview:

A cedar with a medium growth rate and a pyramidal shape that will grow taller than wide. New growth is a striking in two ways. It has a graceful drooping form with powder blue colored needles. The bluest of the deodars. Older growth slowly darkens with age to a blue-green which really shows off the new tips.

Description

Best used in the Upper South where conditions are not so hot and humid. Must have a well drained soil and full sunlight for best performance. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. It is somewhat tolerant of urban pollution, and will benefit from being planted in a relatively sheltered location.It grows at a medium rate, and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for 80 years or more.
