Summary
The neotype of Rhinacanthus gracilis Klotzsch is found to be in serious conflict with the protologue and so is rejected. The new name R. zambesiacus I. Darbysh. is proposed for the widespread Zambesian species previously misnamed R. gracilis. The possible identity of the true R. gracilis is discussed.
