Abstract

During the recent bryofloristic studies in the Karçal mountain of the Artvin region (Caucasus), north of Turkey’s East Black Sea region, Trematodon ambiguus and Ptychostomum cyclophyllum were found as new species to Turkey and Southwest Asia. Descriptions, illustrations, new localities, geographic distribution, ecological characteristics, and comparisons with morphologically similar taxa were provided.
