Morphological and Structural Variations in Clathrina clathrus (Porifera, Calcispongiae)

  • Chapter
Fossil and Recent Sponges

Abstract

Several studies on calcareous sponges of the genus Clathrina deal with habitat preferences of the species (SarĂ  1960), gametogenesis (SarĂ  1955, 1974; Tuzet 1964), and reproductive cycles (Johnson 1978). However, very few data about their temporal evolution are available.
