Re: Name that Game!
For some reason I want to say Divinity, but I have the soundtrack and I can't remember that being on there.
Ugh, it sounds familiar, but I can't put my finger on it. : /
The sound suggests either a plant or water world, sounds very 'innocent nature' to me. But this is annoying me, I feel like I should know it.

Is it Journey? I haven't played the game myself, but I seem to recall you mentioning the soundtrack a couple of times in the past.

No, but now you've reminded me that I need to go listen to it and bask in its beauty for a bit.

Beyond Good and Evil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is one of my favourite games of all times
*downloads the MP3 sneakily*
I wish I had the whole soundtrack to this, but it appears to be one of those (few) things that can't be found
Mara.

What if Alan Turing came up with the test because he was actually a robot and wanted people to find out?

Re: Name that Game!
Correct! And you do realise that Ubisoft released the entire thing for free on the website? That's where I got it from.

Happy birthday. Like LogicSword said, they released the entire soundtrack for free. But for some reason, the links from the various news sites wouldn't work. so I tried searching Ubisoft's site, and that didn't work. I finally found that link in the FAQ/Soundtrack forum in Ubisoft's forum, so I believe it's the right one.

Really? :O
Really! \^_____________^/
Oh wow, thanks a ton
*Fires it up and vows to never pause it, mute it, leave the pc or sleep again*
Right, my turn.
Not sure how hard it is, but if nobody gets it then Kapol or LogicSword can take my turn since they're AWESOME.
I won't be able to post another screenshot of this game, since, well, this is all there is.
Mara.
*turns up the volume of the new music *

Yeah, I want to say Monty Python's Complete Waste of Time but that's obviously not it since you got this game to work.
(well, that and there was a bunch of different games in CWoT)

Re: Name that Game!
In all honesty, I have seen this before, (IIRC mentioned on these fora, but not in this thread?), but damned if I could remember what it is...
As for MP games; there's twice as many as you think, Geoff (and more than *I* thought):
Monty Python's Flying Circus was an old 8-bit side-scroller from '91.
Monty Python's Complete Waste of Time was...kinda aptly named; Win 3.1 in the nascent CD technology, and more of an 'interactive video' than a game. Buggy as all hell, and the interface was impenetrable, but there was unique performances by the lads on it (FMV, yeah, those days). That was '94.
Two years later, the same company shoveled out Monty Python & the Quest for the Holy Grail, which, by all accounts was MUCH better, but still buggy and awkward to control; the manual was not just a folder of legal disclaimers that we get nowadays, but written very much in the spirit of MPFC.
Meanwhile (in other words, I'd never heard of this game until just now), Philips put out a CD-i of Monty Python's Invasion from the Planet Skyron. Yeah. Referred to as an "interactive variety show", it sounds about the same as CWoT, only with less bugs. Minigames, FMV sketches from the show, etc.
Then, in '97, 7th Level put out their third and last game under the MP license: Monty Python's The Meaning of Life. An adventure game loosely based on the overall plot of the film (yeah, that had an underlying plot - who knew? ), this promising game was ALSO crippled with buggy programming.
(Apparently, 7th Level merged with Pulse Entertainment, and the hybrid P7 Solutions got out of game development/publishing and went into IT consulting, etc. Thank god for that. ;P )
Finally, a couple of years ago Monty Python's Cow Tossing was put out for smartphones...and yeah, it's a silly, MP-themed rip-off of the wildly successful game that ripped off Crush the Castle.

Re: Name that Game!
Now I'm kind of disappointed that my game wasn't a Monty Python game
The name of the game is, as the game itself, very minimal.
So maybe you could guess it?
Mara.

Re: Name that Game!
Is the game's name "Rain?"
(I have no idea; I'm only saying that because there's a bit of rain on screen. )
