Truly satisfied with the arrangement and freshness of the sprays created for and delivered on time to my mother's funeral 4/2/2024. Its the craftsmanship and friendliness of the owner & staff that moves me to give a 5 out of 5 stars.
But, I was very worried not receiving my receipt via email immediately after the transaction was completed over the phone. I had to call back the next day.
I chose this florist because they have been around for a long time. I've often passed by the shop and admired the esthetics. That's why I initially felt comfortable ordering via online and by phone.
Because the receipt had to be mailed, I started reading reviews and became even more concerned. I formulated a last minute backup plan with a business chain.
The day before mom's funeral, I went to check on the order. Thankfully, they were done, in the fridge and labeled, ready for delivery and BEAUTIFUL!!! Fresh! Filled the room with fragrance! And I literally have a vase full of some of the left over flowers today 4/13/2024!!! Still going strong!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Apr 3, 2024Previous reviewWhen my mom past 3/22/2024, I did a quick Google search for funeral flowers. Two businesses came up. One was closed. I've passed by this shop, it seems for most of my life and I have always admired the esthetics from a far. Knew they were in business for a while. We called. We ordered, but had trouble receiving our electronic receipt. It had to be mailed. No problem. We received it in the mail.
As the funeral approaches, I begin to read previous comment/reviews. I became highly concerned. I was given last minute alternatives that could produce sprays on the same day, just in case.
To eliminate my fears of a cancellation or poor workmanship as read in other reviews, I visited the store the night before. I told myself of they weren't ready or poorly put together, I would ask for a refund.
I was grateful and relieved that not only were they done, they were labeled with the funeral home and my mom's name. Not only that, they came out beautifully!! We asked them not to add roses because two of my sisters are allergic. They added the 4 in each spray for the color variation we asked for (white carnations, white lilies and a few purple and yellow available flowers).
We are satisfied. The spray at our mothers head and feet, were perfect with the other flowers we added ourselves. The previous reviews, although very old is the only thing keeping us from fully recommending. - Katie E.Broken Arrow, OK17288463May 14, 2020
So since my husband and I now live in Tulsa, Oklahoma and the on going pandemic, we were unable to spend Mother's Day with my amazing mother-in-law. We decided to send her flowers. We went through Proflowers.com, and this is the florist they used. We paid about $100 for a premium bouquet of flowers to be sent the day after Mother's Day. What we paid for versus what we got is almost night and day different. We paid for premium flowers and they sent an arrangement that was done by a monkey with Walmart flowers. My husband and I were so embarrassed and mortified that a "professional" florist would send something this ghastly. Who looks at this and says "yep that's premium work there."???? Apparently these fools.
When I called and complained about it,Patsy (owner?) made excuses about how busy they are and those are the only flowers they have. Seriously?! I told Patsy that I'm a nurse and is it fair for me to give poor care to my patients if I'm busy? No. I told her that even my mother-in-law is a nurse, and her daughter and son in-law is Dr Shedlock and Dr Shedlock (probably seen her on the news there in Hershey) with Penn State. Is it fair they give poor care to patients during this pandemic? No! My mother-in-law is a mother, nana, wife and nurse. She deserves beautiful flowers! So this is how J.C. Snyder treats healthcare workers and mother, with garbage flowers and poor customer service. Pasty was like oh well nothing we can do. We aren't taking orders and I'm not fixing what we did. She said how they're too busy to make things right. Wow! For someone who has been in business for around 40 years hasn't learned how to deliver quality arrangements and good customer service. They should go out of business. Especially when they have no respect or compassion for our hardworking healthcare workers during this pandemic.
I got a full refund from Proflowers. They were super apologetic and said they will try not to use this florist anymore since they can't handle the volume order and deliver quality.
All in all, do not use these sorry excuses for florists. I recommend using an actual professional florist.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - David D.Harrisburg, PA011Nov 12, 2019
Received flowers left on our front step and were completely ruined by the cold. Contacted the florist and they really did not care and would not offer anything to make it right. Please never use these people. There are a number of great florist for you to choose from so do not use JC Snyder

The flowers were delivered to us and left on the stoop of our house in 28 degree weather for who knows how long. The flowers now look frail and droopy! When someone pays the amount of money the florists charge it is expected to not only receive beautiful flowers, but to receive excellent service. This is absolutely the worst experience I have had with a florist and will be sure not to return or recommend them. Instead of leaving them outside in this type of weather, maybe try calling the customer and notifying them you are at their residence and ASK if they can be left or if they would prefer to be picked up! This place has one star flowers and one star service, buyers beware...

3 hours before a scheduled funeral, I was called and told my order would be cancelled, due to their alleged high volume of activity for the day. The only recourse they offered was a 'refund' (which I still have no notification of) and advice to use a larger florist. So my advice to anyone planning to use this floral service is...don't!

I will never order from here again. I once ordered flowers for my best friends Mothers funeral that happened to be around a holiday. The women who answered was so short and rude with me because she was busy that I had to call her on it. I received roses from them that never opened and they told me it was the kind of Rose that never opens. This time, the LAST time, I ordered flowers for a friend that was ill. The arrangement looks NOTHING like what I paid for. NOTHING. I was ripped off for the last time. I wish I could post pictures so you could see how bad it really is.

Horrible customer service. Not on top of their orders. Absolutely not reliable for online orders or for funeral services. Also poor at answering the phone during working hours and not polite to talk with.
