Strata Complex

A contemporary facelift for apartment complex facing decades of decay. Nestled in the heart of Byron Bay, opposite Clarke’s Beach, the exterior was completely revamped. The boutique apartments now fetch significantly higher sale prices in one of the most enviable locations.

8 APARTMENTS ~ ROOFING ~ RENOVATIONS ~ WATERPROOFING ~ LANDSCAPING

The building was originally constructed in the late 1970’s and had not been maintained for decades and was in dire need of a new facelift to meet the demands of the Byron market.

The problem

To elevate the overall exterior aesthetic the below was completed. These works were completed through the Covid era of constant lockdowns and border closures. It was also in the middle of the largest flood and wet season in recorded history. This job is a great testament to the team of employees and subcontractors that we work with that tirelessly commit themselves to delivering exceptional results regardless of the circumstances.

~ Extend all 1st level balcony decks with concrete balconies
~ Replace the tiled roof with colorbond
~ Renovate the foyer
~ Install new glass balustrading on all upper balconies
~ Handicraft decorative timber trusses for each balcony gable ends
~ Design and construct a stormwater system to stop the building from flooding
~ Construct new car parks
~ Repaint the whole building and 2 pac all exposed steel beams
~ Waterproof and tile all concrete balconies
~ Landscape and turf all the grassed and garden areas
