This program would not have been possible without the original programming by Assmunch and the help of Pappy, BODYHAMMER, and all the people who helped test this product.
The DFTFD Item Viewer was created to look identical to the insert items menu on the DFTFD MED, making it easy to find the picture of the object you are looking for.
This program by default works online, meaning you do not have to download any additional picture or sound files if you don't want to. However if you have a dial up connection, you will have about a 3 to 6 second delay from the time you click the view button until the picture appears, depending on your connection speed.
If you use the program offline you will have instant pictures when clicked. If you would like to use this program offline, you will need to download the pictures seperatly from http://www.novasheep.com, in the Task Force Dagger download section.
This program is very simple to use, just simply start it up and either double click on the item you want to view, click the view button, or hit the enter key, all three options will display the picture.
If you can not see the pictuer very well, simply click on the zoom button and you will be able to zoom in and out on that particular picture.
The DFTFD Item Viewer saves the picture you downloaded to the folder in which the program is run. Each picture you download overwrites the last, so you will never have more then one pic saved to your folder or desktop at any time.
Scheme Creation tool that lets you select the objects that will become a part of the items that will be placed. This creator looks like the DFTFDMED's Add Item screen. With the Plug Ins for the DF TFD Images and DF TFD Sounds, a person can see or hear the Items that will become a part of the scheme.
The main screen looks similar to the DFTFDMED's Map screen. All MIS files are are brought into the map DFTFDROG map screen. Unlike the DFTFDMED, the items are only placed as dots but they are in the correct locations on the map. You can move around the map just as you can the DFTFDMED as well as zoom in and out of the map. You will have to enter the number of items that you want to place in the map (not to exceed the max for each group), and select a target area to place the items. You can change the percentage of items that come from each group. So if you want more Decorations and less sounds, you just increase the percentage of decoration. If the total percentage is greater than 100% other groups will be reduced.
The General Information screen for a map looks similar to the one in the DFTFDMED and works the same. It has a distinct changes however. The Fog colors are a graphical display so you can see the color that the fog will be before you go into the game.

Map makers in the past have used custom terrain files which are unavailable to a lot of players. In order to play these maps, simply move the .trn files to small.pff overwriting existing files. Back up all .trn files first!
This will install all 18 DF2 terrains into TFD. As with any mod, it is a good idea to backup your files. The only file changed is small.pff. To backup, right click on it, choose Copy, then right click in your folder and choose Paste.
All DF2 terrains are labeled DF2 in terrain the name. All players must have them installed in order to play.
This is an Expansion Pack for DF:TFD which adds the DFLW-Terrains and Maps to Task Force Dagger

The DFBMS2MIS Converter will allow you convert BMS files from Delta Force Land Warrior or Task Force Dagger to MIS files that can be edited using the either the DFLWMEDC or the TFDMED.
The program converts all the items with there correct attributes. All events are properly converted. This includes all sound files used during the game play. All waypoints are converted as well.
This is the most complete converter available to date. All weather effects are there. All groups, area triggers and waypoints that have something associated with them are labeled. All waypoint routes and area triggers have different colors for easy identification.
This version allows for Multi File conversion. That means you can select all the BMS file that you want and the program will convert them. When Multi Files are selected, auto naming is turned on so that all converted MIS files will have the same name as the BMS file.
You can also put you own favorite skin in the background. This is selectable from the menu bar. You can also restore the original background that comes with the program at any time.
DEBUG Option will dump conversion data to a log file that the support group can use to check for missing. This file contains data that has been converted as well as information that may not have been converted. This information has been provided to help the support people. It is not recommended to be used unless you feel you are having problems with a conversion.
This tutorial will enable Df2 mapmakers to teleport Guest players in Df2 and Assign all individual players to individual groups in the Med. It will open a whole scala of new possibilities for mapmakers and consequently for game play and game types.
Hopefully this will enhance Df2 a little again.
This is a quick little program to help hosts manage the map order dynamically (during a game). The host doesn't need to rename maps, and all maps in DF:TFD are accessible to put in order (custom maps as well as stock maps). If a map needs to be repeated, this is easily done. If the host wants to play stock maps in a different order, this can also be done. No changes are made to the maps themselves, and all order changes are temporary, so no need to worry about messing up existing maps.
Upon opening DF:TFD Live Map Manager, the game should already be up and running (hosting a map).
Click "Start" and all maps of the current game type are displayed, as well as the current map and game type. The program must be active in order to affect map order, so without clicking "Start" you will happily notice nothing.
The maps list is customizable to any order. When the current map completes, the next map in the list will be played. If the user wants to save the current map order, the menu option "Save Order" and "Load Order" are also available.
The menu "Options" contains and will contain various functions to alter DF:TFD game play. The host can pause the game clock by checking the menu option "Pause Game Time". If the host wants to repeat the current map instead of moving to the next in the list, just check the menu option "Loop Current Map". The menu option "Randomize Map Order" is self-explanatory.
