Bryan Cranston and Robin Dearden's daughter, Taylor Dearden Cranston, is following in their acting footsteps.

The couple met while filming a TV show and got married on July 8, 1989. Around four years later, Bryan and Robin welcomed Taylor on Feb. 12, 1993.

Taylor, who goes professionally as Taylor Dearden, didn't take long to join the same industry as her parents, landing roles both alongside her dad and in her own right. Bryan has noted that despite his fame and Robin's experience in the industry, Taylor found success without their help.

"She’s very independent and very conscientious of not having any association or hint thereof of nepotism," he told British GQ in 2023.

Though they have busy acting careers, Bryan shared with PEOPLE that the three of them got to slow down as a family during the COVID-19 pandemic, and he had a moment to reflect on his pride for Taylor.

She is far beyond where I was in my 20s as far as ability," the Argylle star said of his daughter. "She is a super talented young lady."

Here’s everything to know about Bryan Cranston's daughter, Taylor Dearden Cranston.

In 2015, Taylor graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in theater. While attending school, she acted in the comedy web series 101 Ways to Get Rejected.

When she wasn't in front of a camera, Taylor was out on campus trying new activities.

“My college experience was actually amazing," she shared with NYLON in 2016. "I was GDI, which in Greek life stands for God Damn Independent, so I didn’t belong to a sorority."

Taylor continued, "All of my friends were in sororities and some of my guy friends were in frats. I did rush, not because I wanted to join but because I wanted to see it and experience that ... [it was] nothing but nice."

She’s an actress

In 2010, Taylor appeared in an episode of Breaking Bad with her dad. She portrayed a student at the high school where her dad's character, Walter White, taught.

Although this was the only time she appeared in the series, Taylor also inspired Bryan's performance during a particular scene on the hit show.

In November 2015, he appeared on Inside the Actors Studio and shared that his daughter helped him evoke real emotion in a scene where he watched Krysten Ritter's character, Jane, die of an overdose.

“[White] hears [Jane] start to cough and he goes to her because that’s human instinct," Bryan said. "Before he gets to her he stops and thinks, 'Wait a minute — she’s a junkie. She’s got Jesse on heroin; she’ll kill him. It’s better if I don’t do anything. But she’s a little girl — she’s young enough to be my daughter.' "

The Malcolm in the Middle alum revealed that Taylor came to mind while filming the scene, bringing him to tears. “Then I see the face of my own daughter in her place, and I didn’t want to; I didn’t plan on it," he added of his emotional performance.

She’s passionate about women's rights

Taylor starred in MTV’s Sweet/Vicious, a show about two friends who seek justice following a campus sexual assault. The show deeply impacted the actress, who was grateful to be a part of the series' message.

"It’s a show about women written by women, and you can tell it’s from a place of knowledge and sympathy and empathy and excitement, or the fight to do the right thing," she told NYLON. "We only hope that survivors see this as a positive message of, 'We’re willing to fight for you.' "

The following year, Taylor celebrated her dad's addition to the Hollywood Walk of Fame by posing for photos and kissing him on the cheek.

Most recently, in December 2023, the pair attended a Los Angeles Rams game together.
