Brooke Shields has big plans for the most special denim in her life.

On the latest episode of her Now What? podcast, released on Dec. 19, the model chatted with guest Katie Couric about her iconic Calvin Klein ads — and exactly where those famous jeans are after all those years.

In a clip shared to Instagram, Couric, 68, remembered how she and her friends all bought themselves a pair of Calvin Klein jeans under the influence of Shields' famous 1980 commercial.

The Blue Lagoon actress, 58, then revealed that her mom had kept three of the original pairs featured in the commercial.

One of them, as noted by Shields, was given to the Metropolitan Museum of Art (“Doesn’t everybody give their jeans to the Met?” she joked), but the others are still in her possession.

"The other two I’m gonna frame in plexiglass, you know, a frontal and then the back,” she explained of her vision.

Shields actually found the memorabilia when she was in Wonderful Town on Broadway in 2004 and even then, she was still able to wear the pants of her past.

“Now, only my child can fit into them,” Shields said, prompting Couric to suggest Shields pass along the pieces to her daughters, Rowan, 20, and Grier, 17.

When the advertisement first came out, Shields was only 15. At the time, it sparked controversy with a teen repeating the provocative tagline: "You want to know what comes between me and my Calvins? Nothing,"

Earlier this year, when the designer himself spoke with PEOPLE, he said that the phrase, remembered decades later, was “fun, innocent and yes, sexy as hell.”

At the time, though, the line held a different meaning for Shields. As she recalled, “I had a dog, and I would say, 'Nothing comes between me and my puppy.' It was an expression."

"I didn't think of it as, I'm not wearing any underwear," she added.

Looking back now, Shields told PEOPLE in March she “understands” how the controversy emerged. "But for some reason, and maybe it's just protection, I'm not mad at it. It afforded me a lot."

After all, she said, "Sex sells. Sex has been selling since the dawn of time and it still does."
