-Veronica Anagallis-Aquatica “Water Speedwell” is a very special plant that is a U.S. Native yet somehow has been pretty much absent from the hobby until we started propagating it.

It is listed as threatened in Indiana, and as endangered in Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Tennessee.

All of our stems have been grown out from our original 3 stems that we got early last year, and it has been a joy growing it.

It is a fairly weedy species, and grows quickly especially in higher lighting conditions. It has very beefy and thick leaves/stems in high tech conditions, it gets a nice lime-green-golden color. It will grow in lighting as low as 50 PAR, but gets skinny and leggy as you get close to that number.  Lower than 50 PAR we consistently see melting. we haven’t had much luck in low tech tanks.

It grows excellently when floating too, and is happy to grow into a bush that breaks the water surface in aquascapes where this is desired.

Sold by the individual stem.
