Uses: This small ornamental tree from Central America can also be kept trimmed as a hedge. It has deep olive glossy leaves and attractive brown bark.
Tree produces lovely sprays of white flowers in summer and autumn.
Can be used as a topiary
The aromatic fruit can be eaten fresh or used in jams or toppings.
Prefers well drained soils.
