Uses: Highly ornamental for more open locations, wider verges, median strips, parks and reserves. Planted singly as a an accent or grouped as a shelter or wind-break. Tall forms are suitable for narrow sites.
Tolerates light pruning. Requires well-drained soils.
Attracts nectar eating birds and insects.
Note: This species is classified schedule 1, Regulation 24.2 under the Sewerage Act and may be planted in any street or road in any drainage area provided they are not planted closer than two metres to any sewer main or connection.
