Agave stricta
This narrow-leaved Agave looks much like its relative Agave striata (even their names are very similar). While Agave striata has a large distribution in north-central and northeastern Mexico, Agave stricta occurs farther south along the border between Puebla and Oaxaca, to the southeast of Mexico City. The main distinction between the two species is that the petals (or tepals) are fused for most of their length in Agave striata, while they are more separated in Agave stricta. Both species form many-headed clusters in time.
