Hakea multilineata
Like other species in the genus, Hakea multilineata comes from the winter-rainfall region of Western Australia, at the southwestern corner of the continent. Most hakeas are shrubs, but this one is on the large side and may grow to e a small tree up to 5 meters tall (16 feet). The upper photo shows the flower cluster at the beginning of flowering, when the styles are curled back on themselves to form loops. The second photo shows the fully extended styles of the mature flowers, and the third photo shows the woody seed capsules, which are clustered along the branches.
