Peyote Cactus (Lophophora Williamsii var. Caespitosa)

Lophophora Williamsii var. Caespitosa (peyote) is a clustering variety of Lophophora Williamsii, meaning it will multiply and produce multiple heads as it grows. It is a small spineless cactus that contains the psychoactive alkaloid mescaline. This cactus has been used by indigenous people in religious ceremonies for over 5000 years. Once mature the heads will produce pretty pink flowers. The flowers will then produce little berries that contain seeds. These cacti are grown from seed and are around eight months old. They are around the size of a nickel and are shipped bare root.
