Leucanthemum maximum, also known as Max Chrysanthemum, is a perennial herb native to France and Spain but can be found in other parts of the world. It is easily grown in good garden soil, reaching heights of up to 70cm, and has large, solitary flower heads with white ray florets and yellow disc florets. This plant is known for its rhizomatous growth and was used by Luther Burbank to create the Shasta daisy.
