Back in 1920, an employee of Cadbury, Mr Ralph Thompson, noticed that these delicious thin layered bars were excess chocolate squeezing out of the edges of the regular candy bar molds when pressed down and falling on the floor! They developed a way to catch these excess chocolate pieces and presto, the Flake bar was born and has been satisfying sweet tooths for over 100 years, now thats ZERO waste :)
