2 Lepanthes (from Greek "scaled-flower") is a large genus of orchids with about 800–1300 species, distributed in the Antilles and from Mexico through Bolivia (with very few species in Brazil). This genus is distributed in the Antilles island and from Mexico through Bolivia with several species in Brazil. Plants usually have a small flower on a single leaf. Flowers are usually successive and have a specific lip. Culture Keep plants in a moist mix of fine bark or sphagnum moss. Do not let mix dry. Plants should watered regularly.
