One of my favorite voice actors, Shuichi Ikeda, has health issues. He was to take part in a program during which 3 compilation films were to be shown (weekly, once a week) summarizing the first series of "Mobile Suit Gundam" from 1979. After each film was broadcast, we were supposed to get new information about news from the world of "Gundam", read by the voice of the Red Comet with Loum. He will be replaced by a voice actor who played the role of Amuro Ray - the main character of the 1st series and one of the most important characters of "Gundam Zeta". I hope that despite his advanced age, these are only temporary problems and we will hear Mr. Ikeda in some new role. You may associate his voice with roles such as - Shanks "One Piece", Char Aznable, Full Frontal from the entire "Gundam" franchise, Kite "Hunter x Hunter 2011" and Shuichi Akai "Detective Conan".
By the way, I recommend "Gundam the Origin", where we will hear Mr. Shuichi in his role of life.
Just as "Star Wars" movies collect gently ... er ... "controversial opinions" (read: Disney and KK fucked up the job), "The Mandalorian" and the animated part of SW are doing very well. I saw only a series about a friend of Boba Fett, but I heard very warm and positive opinions about cartoons from my friends Karol and Mariusz. Not to mention the opinions of Internet users or the group that handed out the Emmy Awards. Maybe someday I'll watch when I forget about IMO's worst trilogy, which disgusted me with the "Star Wars" brand for a while.
Are you pissed off by 2021 and the epidemic? Relax, at the beginning of 2021, the second season of one of the best anime I've seen in 2019 is about to kick off. I hope that as the manga is slowly coming to an end, they will extend S2 a bit and complete the entire adaptation in 3 seasons. I've heard some complaints about some of the less successful events, but if there are just as few of them as in 1, then I shouldn't be too fussy. I also hope Paru Itagaki won't screw up his manga by the end - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for it to bring the level to the very end, because it would be a shame to spoil such a solid debut. Polish fans will be especially pleased, because in November we will receive the first volume translated into our language.
On Wednesday, on the official website of "Sailor Moon: Eternal", a graphic with the Amazon Trio was released. We also got information about their voice actors. I can't wait, last season was really good, thanks to the great director who also does both parts of Sailor Moon: Eternal. Premiere 1 in early January 2021, and 2 months later - in February.
Netflix has posted an Aggretsuko season 3 teaser. The premiere is on August 27.
