Wildflower series ~ Tephrosia elongata
There are many different Fabaceae or pea-family species on the hill because their nitrogen-fixing abilities equip them to survive in the poor soil. Over time, I realised with that some bloom all day but the yellow and orange-flowered plants are morning-bloomers, making them almost impossible to photograph in the awful midday sun. But I tried, and here you have some some more of the wild peas.
And a larger view of these attractive small creepers which prefer barren, stony patches
As a contrast, Tephrosia longipes is an afternoon bloomer, as are many of the plants that have mauve flowers.
There is of course a pretty little purple creeper that blooms all day long, but none of the pictures I took of it were useable. Next time, I suppose.
Orange ones are beauts. :-)
Agreed!
They are so delicate looking, I really love that orange on the first one.
And the tiny little yellow centres!
We have pea flowers mostly white, but there are such.

Those look very similar
Beautiful flowers. I would also like to see their marco shots next time.
Looks like I have to go and try again
