Former Universal and Chernin Entertainment exec Dylan Clark has joined Scott Stuber‘s Bluegrass Films banner as a partner.

The move had been rumored after Pam Abdy left Bluegrass to join New Regency as president of production. Clark will oversee TV and film properties with Bluegrass.

“Dylan is the perfect fit for the company,” said Stuber. “We have a great working relationship and have been friends for a long time and I can’t think of a better person to help Bluegrass Films continue to grow.”

Clark and Stuber worked together when Stuber was vice chairman of Universal and Clark was president of production.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with my good friend Scott Stuber and return to my producing home at Universal,” said Clark. “I’m excited to start this next chapter in my career with the folks at Bluegrass.”

Some of the upcoming projects Clark produced include “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” and Fox Searchlight’s “Animal Rescue.”
