秘鲁秋海棠 Begonia peruviana
A Begonia sp. on the cliff, Peruvian Amazonia.
This Begonia shrub in the Andes has numerous flowers on its inflorescence, and more interestingly, the flowering branch is always much longer/taller than the rest of the plant.
Wild Heliconia sp. in northern Peru.

Finally I saw wild Phragmipedium in its natural habitat: Czerwiakow’s Phragmipedium (Phragmipedium boissierianum var. czerwiakowianum), in northern Peru.

The fairy lantern (Corybas barbarae) is a small terrestrial orchid endemic to eastern QLD and NSW (north of Sydney). The hairy labellum is covered by a large, curved, and inflated dorsal sepal. The linear lateral sepals are tiny (2mm), and the minute petals (1mm) are hidden by the labellum. It is believed that fungus gnats are its pollinators. Apart from that, little is known about its reproduction and dispersal mechanism.
